# Trailborn Privacy Policy

## Data we process

We process an Apple or Google account identifier, player name, app settings, the last location needed to start road discovery, game statistics and team memberships. With permission, the app reads step count and floors climbed from HealthKit or Health Connect.

Health data is used only to power game mechanics. We do not sell it or use it for advertising, ad profiling, credit or insurance decisions. The backend receives the activity result required to settle a walk, not a complete medical record.

## Purpose and legal basis

Data is used to provide the service, secure accounts, synchronize territory, rankings, teams and achievements. System permissions and optional notifications rely on consent that can be withdrawn in device settings.

## Retention and deletion

Account data is retained until the account is deleted. A player can sign out without losing data or separately choose “Delete account”. Deletion removes the profile, sessions, personal territory and achievements. Team and season events may remain anonymized to preserve shared rankings and map integrity. Backups are rotated and deleted within 30 days.

## Sharing and security

We use infrastructure providers acting on our instructions. Only information required by the selected game mode is visible to other players, such as nickname, colour and team roads. We use encrypted transport, Bearer sessions, access control and backups.

Players may request access, correction, restriction or portability of their data and may complain to the competent data protection authority.
